Niall de Búrca came to our school in December for a day. I can say without hesitation it was one of the most enjoyable days we’ve had in the school.  Niall took all classes over the course of the day and amazed all of us with the ease with which he simplified or made more complex his repertoire of great stories. I can recommend Niall’s storytelling sessions to anyone thinking about booking a day. It is wonderful to see this tradition continued and enjoyed in an age of so much electronic entertainment. We look forward to his return visit to s next year.

"Niall draws on a wealth of stories that hail from his Irish background and with his own "Kiwi" embellishments, the stories are readily absorbed by our children. Even the most reluctant child cannot help to be entranced......Niall's asset is his wonderful voice...not a dry eye left from laughing!...."

He enthralled the children(and the adults!) with his remarkable story telling talents. His capacity to empathise with all age groups was remarkable. His interactive approach and zany sense of humour worked brilliantly. The children will certainly remember his rendering of Irish tales with much enthusiasm.

"Mr. De Búrca has a remarkable range of tales -- funny, frustrating, lively, sad, ghoulish and downright absurd -- and tell them with remarkable charm, judgment and superb timing...His "Martin Quinlevin and the Devil" produced such an absolute silence in the audience that the legendary dropped pin would have been easily heard."
